I have known David since I was Dean of The School of Pharmacy in London over the period 1989-2006. He was an excellent colleague not only working with my own research group but with a wide range of biological, physical and pharmaceutical researchers in the School. He was in most cases a vital element in this work and was therefore a co-author of a number of papers as a result. His accumulated years of experience at a high level will continue in his new position.

Sample preparation
Advice on any sample preparation for electron microscopy, for both biological and non-biological samples. Protocols can be formulated from fixation to critical point drying of biological samples as well as preparation of pharmaceutical creams/gels and inhalation samples.
Imaging
Advice on imaging under low and high accelerating voltages on thermally sensitive samples as well as digitally importing image files into photshop for enhancing and colouring.
Microscope operation
Advice on selecting optimum microscope parameters for maximising image information. On site training can be arranged.
Equipment evaluation
Advice can be offered on both microscope and ancillary sample preparation equipment for purchasing within budget constraints.
